The first rule that I teach at Sandler is that you have to learn to fail, in order to succeed. Now, that might sound a bit confusing, but stick with me, it does make sense.

Everyone fails. If you just said “I don’t fail”, you’re either my daughter Esther or you’re not being honest with yourself. All jokes aside, it’s important to acknowledge when you fail and why you think you failed. When you identify both of these reasons, you are on your way to understanding how to fix them, and ultimately how to succeed.

You also have to realize that just because you failed at something, doesn’t mean that you are a failure overall. Like I said earlier, everyone fails. Accepting your failures and learning to conquer them for next time automatically makes you a success.

If I can teach you one thing through this post, I hope it’s that you try your hardest, but do not dwell too much on your failures. You are not a failure, and you can learn from them.
