Who We Are

At Sandler Training, we are committed to working together to make the changes necessary to take your company and career to a higher level.  Owner Erik Meier, has been a student of sales his entire life.  From an early age, he recognized the key to personal achievement comes from the ability to "write your own ticket".  Whether that means you take an entrepreneurial path, or choose to work within an existing company, that path requires a system of selling which enables you to set and exceed personal and professional goals.

Erik Meier is the President & CEO of Sandler Training® by EAM Consulting Group, a performance development company partnering with businesses and high performing individuals to deliver training for sales, management, and organizational excellence to grow their top and bottom lines with locations in Southeast, West, and Central Michigan.

Ken Seawell

Ken Seawell believes that business owners can have a confident expectation in a brighter future. For more than a decade, Ken has been assisting his clients in developing better business practices that lead to increased sales, increased profits, and increased peace of mind.

Daryn Lawson

Daryn Lawson has a Marketing Degree from Grand Valley State University. He has been selling since the young age of nine when he became a caddy and had a weekly paper route. He has been in business and professional selling for the past 33 years were he most notably was responsible for bringing the GolfTEC Golf Learning Centers to Metro Detroit. He achieved PGA Membership status in Michigan and Colorado and was nationally recognized as a State’s Top Teacher in Golf Digest in 2005. After selling his franchises, he went to work in the technology and recruiting industries, where he received many awards for surpassing his quotas consistently.

He is very excited to join the team and continue helping business owners and salespeople achieve their goals, thus helping to improve their lives. He will use his experience as a golf instructor, business owner, and professional selling to provide a fun and engaging learning environment. He says “I will teach you to P.U.T.T - Pick Up The Telephone! Your key to achieving your goals.”

Chris Drouin

A 20 year veteran of sales and marketing, Chris has worked in a diverse range of industries for some of the premier brands in those fields.

A few companies and industries he has worked in:

-Automotive with Volkswagen Audi and Bentley Motors

-Banking and Real Estate with Quicken Loans

-Pharma, Health Care and Technology with McKesson Pharmacy Systems

Experience in this array of industries gives Chris a unique blend of knowledge in which companies find to be refreshing and beneficial when understanding their needs. He focuses on helping businesses that are experiencing great success, but want to get better!

In addition to his sales career, Chris has worked in advancement and fundraising. An annual presenter at Walsh College for their non-profit conference, Chris works with philanthropies on how to bring a sales system to fundraising for their mission. He also currently sits on the Board of Directors for US Lacrosse – Michigan and The Dildilian Foundation for the Trades. A tireless networking machine, Chris is also a former board member for the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Small Business Association of Michigan’s Legislative Action Council and the founder and past President of the Brother Rice Business Alliance.

When not working or networking, Chris can be found officiating college and high school lacrosse, coaching lacrosse, camping with his family, and/or hunting. As an Alumnus of Oakland University, he is a passionate Golden Grizzlies fan and a member of Theta Chi Fraternity along with being a member of the Knights of Columbus. Chris currently lives in Clarkston, MI with his wife Anne-Marie and three children.

Tom Stephens

Tom Stephens has more than 25 years of proven success at team-building, acquisition expertise, capital ventures, sales, and sustained profitability. Most recently, Tom provided international business consulting to firms interested in a potential move to the United States. Tom has invested talent in retention/expansion, and branding, while always conscious of the bottom line in driving growth and profits.

Susan Rafftery

Susan joined the team as an executive assistant providing support to the executive staff. She has since moved into the role of Director of Client Services and works to ensure ultimate customer service is provided at all times through high levels of customer excellence.

Tim Bryson

Tim Bryson joined Sandler Training by EAM Consulting Group in 2019. He brings a decade of work experience in customer service and communications to his role in business development. Tim is passionate about connecting positive, growth-oriented people with each other, strengthening business relationships and helping others achieve next-level success in their personal and professional lives.

Tim grew up in rural Lapeer, MI, where he worked in food service management and retail positions, while also starting and growing multiple successful side businesses. A committed Christian, he currently resides in Troy, MI, where he is active in his local church. Tim enjoys traveling, camping, reading, country music, and a variety of nerdy interests.

Jeffrey DeVoursney - Grand Rapids

Jeff DeVoursney has spent more than 25 years in sales, sales management, and general management roles, including 11 years as an entrepreneur and business owner. Most of that time was involved in high-value technical products in the process industries. He earned an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, with a focus on marketing and finance. He helps clients improve their sales process through consulting, coaching, and training. Helping clients, who are frustrated with their rate of new customer/business development, lower than desired closing rates, and poor price and margin support, as a result of their sales process.

Kevin Wissner - Lansing

Kevin Wissner joined the Team in 2018. After nine years serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, he joined the civilian world with a passion of working with and training people. From his time in the military as well as a background in engineering, he also greatly enjoys following and establishing process. Kevin believes that following simple, repeatable steps is the recipe for success in sales. Lastly, Kevin enjoys teaching that the easiest, most comfortable path in a sales engagement is one based in transparency and must be done in the best interest of both parties.
